Every year, the two most happening clubs in NIE (BA club and BSc club) come together to form the Orientation Planning Main Committee (also affectionately known as OPMC)

In conjunction with YOG 2010, the committee has come together to brainstorm for the most exciting Orientation Camp in NIE, just for you, BA and BSc freshmen.

Some Basic Information about the BA/BSc Team FOC Bonding Camp

Location: Aloha Changi Resort (Cranwell Bungalows 2 and 3)

Time: 1000 hrs
Location: East Coast Park (At the Macs area)
Note: The mini amphitheatre near the UFO game area and the skating ring where it is used for Tamiya cars race track.

NOTE:

Please be reminded to bring $15 for the camp fees.
Participants are advised not to drive to the venue as we will be travelling around various locations before arriving at Aloha Changi.
In the event that you are driving, please contact the OPMC at babscorientation10@gmail.com for alternate arrangements.
Please bring your water bottles to ensure that you are sufficiently hydrated during the activities.
Please pack light as you may be required to carry your belongings with you during the Amazing Race.

tips for you!

Most tutorial rooms and lecture theatres are on ground level. They are located along the smaller corridors from the major corridor. Only big tutorial rooms are located along the major corridor. So beware...

Special rooms (eg: laboratories and teaching facilities) are located either on basement and 2nd levels.

Reading NIE venues:

Most importantly, do not mix up the NIE LTs with NTU LTs!

Announcements are being delivered in 5 ways:

Snail mail (Very important, usually concerns money)

Email (Equally important)

Teachers' Portal Dashboard * (once you're logged in)

Teachers' Portal Announcements (before you log in)

GeNIEus Announcements ** (lecturers use this to submit updates on lecture notes; some nice lecturers will email you the announcements, but NOT all... So remember to check regularly)

* Announcements under Dashboard are different from the Announcements before you log in.
** GeNIEus is a Blackboard online portal that distributes most of your lecture notes and tutorials, and for some modules, you may be required to submit your essays in soft copies or you may be required to do discussion for course assessment.
